Connie, celebrated her century today with friends and family at  Shirkoak Park in Kent and a special birthday card from The Queen.

 

She is pictured with park manager Liz Neal and neighbour Sid Whetton who celebrated his 80^th birthday on the park earlier this week.

 

Connie moved to  Shirkoak in 1980 with her husband Jack and has always kept herself busy and active.

 

Until recently she was even catching the bus to do her shopping in Ashford !

 

She said:" I really can't believe I'm 100. I don't know what the secret is, perhaps it is a little of what you fancy always does you good!"

Shirkoak Park's Jim Walder is doing a week's sponsored fish at Cackle Hill Fisheries in aid of CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia), lasting till the10th November 2013. 

This event will include a raffle draw at 2.00pm at the Fishery's Tackle Shop, as well as a raffle on Shirkoak Park at 4.00pm.
Tickets are on sale at 26A Shirkoak and any help will be appreciated.

Brave Jim has suffered ill health since 2007 so please give generously.
