DOGGONE… ST CYRUS RAISE THE WOOF !

ST CYRUS HOLIDAY PARK raised an amazing £1,000 for DAWGS – a re-homing centre for abandoned dogs in Aberdeenshire after a very successful charity day. There was a bouncy castle, bric-a-brac stalls and tombola and a big turnout from residents, friends and guests.

Park manager Ann-Marie, who organized the event said:" Just to let you all know we raised a magnificent £1000 at our Dawgs Derby. It was a fabulous day with a great turn out and everyone really worked hard to ensure it was a fun day.

" Thank you  all for helping support this event.  Also please look out for all the items that were not sold going onto the Wyldecrest Swap Shop where any money raised will also be given to the Dawgs.

"The next event is a car wash and valet day where the staff will clean the residents cars for a fee and the money will be donated to Caron school which is a local school for disabled children. They do a fantastic job and hopefully we can raise enough for maybe a school outing for the children. "

Now you see it, now you don't !

 

 Residents at Bockenfield  got down and dirty  in a big clean up of the river that runs through the park.

 

Over two weekends they donned wellies and cleared floating debris which had been washed down the Longdyke ..and then enjoyed a drink in the sunshine at the park office.

 

Park Manager Kate Angus:"I'd like to say a very big thank you to everyone who helped.  We cleared a lot of branches dead wood that had collected in the river and it was a great team effort all round."
